The PRS Archon Classic 50W tube guitar amp head is a powerhouse designed for rock-and-roll enthusiasts who crave those iconic vintage tones but also demand the flexibility to push sonic boundaries. With a refined gain structure from the original Archon, the Archon Classic delivers a wider range of gain flavors, particularly in the midrange, while its Clean channel effortlessly transitions from pristine sparkle to gritty breakup. Whether you're chasing the legendary sounds of '70s and '80s rock, or forging your own path into modern sonic territory, the Archon Classic is ready to deliver the goods.

Two Channels With Enhanced Gain Structures

The Archon Classic features two distinct channels—Lead and Clean—each meticulously voiced to provide a unique tonal palette. The Lead channel serves up a hot-rodded vintage gain structure with a wider range of gain flavors, particularly in the midrange, allowing you to dial in everything from classic crunch to soaring lead tones. The Clean channel is equally impressive, capable of producing pristine cleans as well as dynamic edge-of-breakup sounds that respond beautifully to your playing dynamics.

Three-Dimensional Tone With Exceptional Clarity

The Archon Classic's tone is characterized by its three-dimensional quality, delivering lush highs, tight lows, and a rich midrange that cuts through the mix with authority. Despite its high-gain capabilities, this amp maintains exceptional note separation and articulation, ensuring that your riffs and chords remain clear and defined even under heavy distortion. Whether you're playing complex chord voicings or intricate lead lines, the Archon Classic delivers the clarity and definition you need to make your music shine.

Intuitive Controls and Versatile Features

The Archon Classic features an intuitive control layout that makes it easy to dial in your perfect tone. The 3-band EQs on each channel allow for precise tone shaping, while the individual channel volume and master volume controls provide ultimate control over the amp's overall loudness and distortion. The bright switch adds a touch of sparkle to the high end without becoming harsh, and the global presence and depth controls allow you to further fine-tune the amp's response, adding dimension and character to your sound.

Built for the Stage and Studio

The Archon Classic is built with rugged construction and high-quality components to ensure reliable performance on the road and in the studio. The black textured vinyl covering and black embossed welt give it a sleek and professional aesthetic, while the stitched black faux leather handle adds a touch of vintage charm. Whether you're a seasoned professional or a passionate enthusiast, the Archon Classic is a versatile and reliable amp that will inspire your creativity and elevate your playing.
