The Eastman AC422CE is a cutaway grand auditorium with a solid Sitka spruce top, solid rosewood back and sides, and an LR Baggs Element EAS VTC pickup system built in. The body measures 16 inches wide and 4 1/4 inches deep, and the cutaway gives your fretting hand room to reach the upper frets.
The mahogany neck has an ebony fingerboard on a 12 inch radius and a traditional even C profile. A 1 3/4 inch bone nut gives your fretting hand more room between strings, and the bridge has 2 5/32 inch string spacing. Scale length is 25.4 inches, with hand-scalloped X bracing under the top. Binding runs around the top, back, and fingerboard, and the finish is Truetone gloss.
It suits players who want a rosewood-bodied grand auditorium that is ready to plug in, with a hardshell case included. Players who want an acoustic with no electronics, or who prefer an ovangkol or sapele body, may look at the other Eastman AC models instead.
