This is a great DI for amp to PA system with cabinet simulator built in. Runs on 9V or phantom power. This normally goes between the amp and speaker, but I built a 4 ohm /8 ohm load box so I could use PA only without damaging the amp (and velcro to hold them together). I used an A/B switch, so I could turn the amp speaker on or off, substituting the load box when the speaker was off. The load resistors are rated at 100W, but I’d advise to use the load box with a maximum of maybe a 40W amplifier to be safe.
I will also note that the 3-parameter cabinet simulation is by far the best sounding and most intuitive of any built-in cab sim I've ever tried. In fact, it's the only one I have ever actually used, outside of an IR loader where I sifted through dozens of IR profiles to find just two that I ever use.
This is a great combination! I just don't have a use for it at the moment. Includes 4” high quality patch cable.
