The RME 12Mic is a 12 channel digitally-controlled microphone preamplifier and converter built for professional recording, live sound, broadcast, and networked audio systems. All 12 front panel XLR inputs accept microphone and line level signals with up to 75 dB of gain, while the first four inputs also accept TRS connections with switchable Hi-Z for instruments.
Professional Recording Across 12 ChannelsThe PAD free microphone stages accept signals up to +18 dBu, while 24-bit conversion supports sample rates up to 192 kHz. Gain can be adjusted in 1 dB steps, making level matching across large microphone setups more predictable for multichannel sessions, ensembles, live recording, and installed systems.
AVB, MADI, and ADAT IntegrationDual Gigabit AVB network ports provide redundant network connectivity, while coaxial MADI supports up to 64 channels at 48 kHz. An optional SFP module adds optical MADI for independent or redundant operation. Three ADAT outputs provide up to 24 channels at single speed, allowing the 12Mic to integrate with existing interfaces, converters, and monitoring systems.
Fast Control and Flexible RoutingFront panel controls provide direct access to gain groups, phantom power, monitoring, and device settings without requiring deep menus. A web interface adds remote control and access to the internal routing matrix, while SteadyClock FS provides low jitter digital clocking for complex digital audio systems.
