The Ultimate Vintage Player’s Strat
Up for sale is a stunningly resonant, all-original 1976 Fender Stratocaster in its original Natural finish. If you love a vintage instrument with true, un-fakeable character and a real story to tell, this is the one

Condition & Aesthetic
This guitar is the definition of "road-worn" in the best way possible. It has been loved, played hard, and gigged for decades, resulting in an incredible natural patina that a modern custom shop simply cannot replicate

Body

The natural ash finish shows honest finish checking, edge wear, minor dings, and buckle rash from decades of music-making

Neck & Fretboard

The original maple neck and fretboard feature gorgeous, authentic play wear through the lacquer along the bass and treble sides, giving it that incredibly smooth, broken-in feel

Originality & Playability

100% Untouched: This guitar is a pure time capsule. All components are original to 1976, including the pickups, pots, hardware, and the original bridge. No modifications, no routing, and no repairs.

Feel: The maple neck feels fast and comfortable, with a perfect worn-in profile that melts into your hand

Tone: It delivers that classic, bitey, late-70s funk and rock tone that these heavy ash-body Strats are legendary for

It comes complete with its original hard-shell case which is in excellent shape for being 50 years old (Black Tolex with Orange interior). Because the owner before me toured with an anvil hard case, this case is beautiful, and looks near new

A vintage 1976 Fender Stratocaster/Telecaster hard case in very good condition with a black Tolex exterior and orange interior is typically worth between $350 and $550.

Currently there is a 1977 case for sale on EBay for $597 that isn’t even as nice as this one

My name is James Jarrel and I own New River Guitars in Arizona. About 30 years ago I took this guitar in for trade on a custom Strat build for a customer who was a Nashville session player and a touring musician. After setting this guitar up and getting it ready for sale, I fell in love with it and it became my “Go to Strat”. Now that I am getting up there in years I felt it was time to pass this beauty on to someone who could use it and enjoy what a great guitar plays and sounds like

******DISCLAIMER *****

This is listed as all original with ONE EXCEPTION:

The 5 way selector switch may not be original. I have owned this for 36 years and the 5 way switch has always been on there, but this guitar was made in early 1976 and they didn’t start using those until late 1976.

Also, I have a late 60s stamped steel Fender Bridge on it right now, (Replica) because I am not a big fan of the die cast bridge and saddles that came stock on this guitar, but the original bridge is included, so technically “All Original”

You could easily put the original bridge back on for total original

I have posted pictures from every angle, and made a YouTube video. If you have any questions “ask before bidding” and watch the YouTube Video:
