It's not often a bass of this calibre comes through our doors, and this Ken Smith BSR 5GN White Tiger Elite is something really special. Originally sold by us here at Bass Direct in 2018, it's a stunning American-made five-string that showcases the exceptional craftsmanship, beautiful tonewoods and attention to detail that have made Ken Smith such a respected name among serious bass players.

Featuring a gorgeous figured maple top and back with a walnut core, this is a bass that looks every bit as impressive as you'd expect. The five-piece maple and shedua neck incorporates graphite reinforcement bars for added stability, while the ebony fingerboard and 24-fret design provide a superb playing platform.

Ken Smith pickups and the BMT three-band EQ deliver the clarity, depth and definition these basses are famous for, with a beautifully balanced sound across all five strings. Whether you're after articulate, piano-like lows, rich mids or crystal-clear highs, there's plenty of tonal flexibility to explore.

The figured maple looks fantastic against the gold hardware, and at 4.2kg, it's a very comfortable instrument to play.

A genuinely special Ken Smith with outstanding construction, beautiful woods and that unmistakable Smith tone. Having originally supplied this bass in 2018, it's particularly nice to see it back with us. It comes complete with its case, certificate and brochure.
