Schecter Omen Extreme-5 Electric Bass in Black Cherry Finish

The Omen Extreme-5 delivers a balanced, comfortable playing experience with its thin 'C' neck profile and extended 35-inch scale, designed for five-string bass work without fatigue. The mahogany body with flamed maple top and black cherry finish presents a striking aesthetic, while the arched top contour and crème multi-ply binding refine the instrument's visual appeal. This is a versatile workhorse bass suited to players seeking reliable performance and professional build quality at an accessible price point.

Playability & Feel

The neck geometry prioritizes comfort across extended playing sessions: the thin 'C' shape measures .787" at the first fret and .866" at the twelfth fret, maintaining consistent feel throughout the neck. The 24 X-Jumbo frets on a 16-inch radius rosewood fretboard support both aggressive playing and smooth melodic lines, while the Graph Tech XL Black Tusq nut at 1.771" width accommodates standard five-string string spacing without crowding.

Tone & Electronics

Dual Schecter Diamond Bass pickups—one in the neck position and one at the bridge—provide balanced output across the frequency spectrum with natural midrange presence. The 9-volt clip-in battery compartment powers active electronics for consistent signal strength and tonal flexibility, while the diamond bass bridge delivers solid sustain and precise intonation. Factory-equipped with Ernie Ball 5 String Super Long strings (.045–.130 gauge), the bass ships ready for immediate use.
