The body sides and back are finished in a different color than the top, and the sides feature natural binding, where areas are masked to leave uniform widths unpainted. These are all high-end specifications that go beyond the conventional mass-production process, demonstrating a commitment to quality. Of course, the poplar burl is not a thin veneer, but rather a material of almost the same thickness as that used in Ibanez's top-of-the-line j.custom series.

Traditionally, Ibanez has created multi-ply necks to improve the strength of the neck itself and enhance sustain. However, with these models, they are attempting to create an 11-ply neck, which could be called an ultra-multi-ply neck, a style that has become increasingly common in European workshop guitars in recent years. The neck, constructed from pangapanga, walnut, maple, and purpleheart wood, features a clear and focused sound due to the large proportion of hard woods it comprises. This is a special process in which skilled craftsmen polish each fret individually with a file during the neck's completion. Stainless steel frets are harder and more durable than regular nickel silver frets, but their hardness makes them difficult to process, requiring high skill for edge treatment and leveling. The position inlays on the side of the fingerboard are made of phosphorescent material.
