This is a very nice EZ project for restoration.
Silvertone 4 string banjo - made in usa - model 319.12511 [that may mean model 319?]...(stamped on rear of headstock).
The banjo is in very good (but dusty) condition. Looks like it can fairly easily be set up and restored to playing condition. Siting down from the headstock, neck looks straight with almost no relief (which is good!) and appears to be able to be set up to play well.
The included bridge is too tall and needs to be carved down. A few banjo hooks are missing. There is a crack in the back resonator type cover which could be glued. Waverly tuners look good. Fretboard looks like it might be brazilian rosewood. Otherwise, looks to be in good condition. A cleaning and setup would go a long way to helping this one!! Very nice quality 4 string banjo from the 1950s.
