Yamaha Recording Custom Rack Tom 8x7 Red Autumn

Yamaha Recording Custom Tom 8x7 — Refined Birch Drum with Pro-Grade Weighted Lugs

Developed in collaboration with legendary drummer Steve Gadd, the revamped Yamaha Recording Custom Tom combines time-tested recording studio performance with modern refinements. This 8x7 tom features an all-birch shell construction that delivers punchy, articulate tone ideal for session work and live performance. The upgraded weighted lugs maximize the natural resonance of the wood while eliminating unwanted shell vibration, giving you clarity and control across a wide tuning range without additional muting. The 30-degree bearing edge was chosen by Gadd himself to provide sharp attack and responsive feel. Built for drummers who demand a drum that feels broken-in from day one—comfortable, predictable, and sonically refined—the Recording Custom Tom bridges classic design with enhanced performance.
