The Martin D-X2E Billy Strings Signature dreadnought acoustic-electric guitar is a dream come true for aspiring and seasoned musicians alike. Inspired by Billy Strings' beloved prewar D-28, this guitar captures the essence of his distinctive style while offering exceptional playability and a versatile tone. Whether you're drawn to the captivating sounds of bluegrass or simply seeking an acoustic-electric guitar that can handle any genre, the D-X2E Billy Strings is ready to ignite your creativity and elevate your musical journey.

Effortless Playability—A Guitarist's Dream

One of the standout features of the D-X2E Billy Strings is its unique 25" scale length, a departure from Martin's traditional long and short scales. This custom scale length reduces string tension, making it easier to bend notes and play fast passages. Imagine effortlessly gliding through intricate bluegrass runs and complex chord changes, your fingers dancing across the fretboard with newfound agility. The slimmer 1-23/32" nut width further enhances playability, providing a comfortable feel for both seasoned players and those just beginning their musical journey.

Premium Tonewoods and a Comfortable Neck—A Classic Voice with a Modern Feel

The D-X2E Billy Strings features a Modified Low Oval neck profile with a satin finish, offering a smooth and comfortable playing experience. This neck shape, combined with the shorter scale length, makes this guitar a joy to play for hours on end. The guitar's solid spruce top delivers a responsive, punchy tone with plenty of volume and sustain, making it ideal for a wide range of playing styles and musical genres. Whether you're strumming powerful chords or fingerpicking delicate melodies, the D-X2E Billy Strings provides the tonal foundation you need to express your musical vision.

Brazilian Rosewood-Patterned HPL—Durability Meets Beauty

Crafted with Brazilian rosewood-patterned high-pressure laminate (HPL) back and sides, the D-X2E Billy Strings offers the rich aesthetic of rosewood with enhanced durability. This makes the guitar ideal for frequent travel and stage use, ensuring that it can withstand the rigors of the road while maintaining its stunning appearance. This innovative material not only looks great but also contributes to the guitar's balanced and resonant tone.

Martin Electronics and Vintage-Inspired Appointments—A Blend of Tradition and Innovation

The D-X2E Billy Strings comes equipped with Martin E1 electronics and a built-in tuner, allowing for easy amplification during live performances. The nickel open-gear tuners, ebony fingerboard with faux abalone inlay and style 28 rosette add a touch of classic Martin elegance, while the custom hemp softshell case ensures that your guitar is protected wherever your musical journey takes you.
