As a guitarist for a wide range of artists, from Rob Zombie, David Lee Roth, Alice Cooper and Mötley Crüe right through to Lynyrd Skynyrd, John 5’s guitar playing delivers extensive country-style shredding and razor-sharp tapping, which his own Fender Artist Series John 5 Ghost Telecaster is able to do justice to, both sonically and visually. Comprising a classic Nyatoh body and a maple neck, this Tele is finished entirely in Arctic White with red hardware accents and chrome-plated hardware. Fitted with two DiMarzio pickups and an arcade-style kill switch, the John 5 Ghost Tele delivers hot humbucker tones with modern crunch when plugged into an amp.

Two DiMarzio D Activator humbuckers in the bridge and neck positions deliver crisp, singing tones with pronounced mids and high output, which, as with active pickups, really cuts through. In keeping with the rest of the design, these dual-coil pickups feature red plastic caps and impress with their clear string articulation. For rapid stutter effects, an arcade-style kill switch is located beneath the bridge on the mirrored pickguard and control panel.

The string-through Tele bridge features an enlarged cut-out to accommodate the bridge humbucker and ensures stable intonation thanks to six steel string saddles. Furthermore, the strings on the John 5 Ghost Tele run over a sturdy maple neck and a Micarta nut.
