The 1997 Yamaha Maple Custom 30th Anniversary kit in Red Sparkle is a limited edition, Made-in-Japan drum set produced to celebrate Yamaha's 30th anniversary in drum manufacturing.

Key details from the search results include:

Production & Rarity: It was a limited run, with approximately 100 kits produced per color.
Construction: The kits feature 7-ply maple shells (10-ply for bass drums in some configurations) and utilize the YESS (Yamaha Enhanced Sustain System) mounting system.
Finish: The "Red Sparkle" finish is a lacquer sparkle, which was a departure from the typical sparkle wraps used by other manufacturers at the time.
Hardware: These kits typically featured chrome lugs (replacing the gold lugs found on standard Maple Customs) and a special 30th Anniversary badge.
