With the Ibanez Genesis RG565R-CA Candy Apple, Ibanez is expanding its Japan-built Genesis Collection with an eye-catching shredder guitar featuring a reversed headstock and a flexible pickup setup. In addition to the linden body in the familiar and agile RG design, the electric guitar features a bolt-on maple-walnut neck, whose ‘Super Wizard’ profile promises extremely agile playability. With an Ibanez Infinity R humbucker in a slim single-coil format and a full-sized Ibanez V8 humbucker at the bridge, the Genesis RG565 delivers powerful clean and distortion sounds that reproduce every note played with precision. The Genesis RG565R guitar’s specification is rounded off by a tuning-stable Ibanez Edge tremolo, which withstands even the most vigorous whammy bar action with stoic composure.

In designing the Genesis RG565R, built in Japan, Ibanez pays particular attention to ideal playability and a powerful tone. Whilst the sleek linden body sits comfortably against the body thanks to the large belly cut, the wide cutaways allow unobstructed access to the higher frets of the bolt-on, five-piece neck made of maple and walnut. The extremely slim ‘Super Wizard’ profile, with just 17 mm of wood beneath the first fret, combined with the flat 17" fretboard radius (430 mm), offers excellent playability for virtuosic soloing and tight riffing on the 24-fret rosewood fretboard.

For electrical signal conversion, the Genesis RG565R features a slim Ibanez Infinity R humbucker in the neck position and a full-size V8 humbucker at the bridge. Equipped with powerful ceramic magnets, these pickups elicit both rich clean tones and punchy overdrive and distortion tones from the guitar amplifier, delivering razor-sharp articulation for every note, even in drop tunings. In addition to the 5-way pickup selector switch, which allows you to access a wide range of tonal nuances, the volume and tone controls give you full control over the sound of the electric guitar.

Last but not least, Ibanez rounds off the Genesis RG565R electric guitar with high-quality hardware. With its silky-smooth operation and unwavering tuning stability, the tried-and-tested Ibanez Edge Double-Locking Tremolo invites you to unleash unrestrained shredding techniques such as dive-bombs and squeals. On the distinctive “Reversed” headstock, Gotoh tuners also ensure the electric guitar is tuned quickly and precisely.
