The Taylor T5z Custom acoustic-electric guitar gives you a versatile instrument with a striking figured koa top and urban ash body. Designed for serious musicians, Taylor's T5 Electronic System provides a wide range of acoustic and electric tones through its three-pickup configuration and five-way switching.

Premium Tonewoods Deliver Resonant Sound

The T5z Custom's koa top and ash body resonate with full, balanced tone that projects well. Koa's shimmering grain gives the guitar a luxurious appearance while contributing to its acoustic warmth and clarity. The ash body is lightweight but highly resonant, enhancing sustain and adding midrange punch. Together, these premium tonewoods let your musicality shine through.

Play with Ease Thanks to Thoughtful Design

The T5z Custom's neck has a fast-playing profile that feels familiar to both acoustic and electric players. Its 12" radius ebony fingerboard has a smooth, responsive surface for effortless fretting and chord changes. The 24.875" scale length balances comfortable playability and clear tone. Overall, the T5z Custom's design minimizes physical barriers between you and making music.

Shape Your Sound with Hybrid Pickups

Three pickups—a magnetic acoustic body sensor, concealed neck humbucker and visible bridge humbucker—provide acoustic and electric tones. Five-way switching lets you blend the pickups for a range of sounds from crisp acoustic textures to searing electric leads. Dial in warm, rounded acoustic tones or switch to the humbuckers for high-gain overdrive. The T5z Custom's pickup system gives you maximum tonal control.

Striking Appearance

With elegant touches like Italian acrylic pearl spire inlays, f-holes and a figured koa top with a subtle burst finish, the T5z Custom is crafted with an artful eye for detail. Its striking yet understated appearance hints at the guitar's depth of tone and premium build. Whether on stage or recording, its beautiful aesthetics will inspire your musicality and turn heads.

Innovation That Transforms

The Taylor T5z Custom reimagines what an acoustic-electric guitar can be. By merging two worlds of tone into one instrument, it gives you an unparalleled level of tonal versatility and inspiration. Play the T5z Custom and experience why Taylor is known for crafting guitars that transform how musicians create and connect.
