It’s my understanding that this pedal was originally made analog, and in 2001 boss changed the circuit to digital. This pedal was manufactured in October 2000 according to the serial number.
It sounds warmer than the digital CE-3 that I owned before this one, also has a low/high filter knob that you can differentiate between high or low cuts which sounds nice as a bass player.
Pedal works and sounds as it should, Ive decided to go without chorus on my pedalboard.
