The 1960 Les Paul Special Double Cut Reissue is one of those Gibson designs that still looks cool because it never really needed much messing with in the first place. The double-cut mahogany body gives it that unmistakable late-’50s/early-’60s look, and the TV White finish with the VOS treatment makes this one feel properly vintage-inspired without being overly dressed up.

The real heart of the guitar is the pair of Gibson Custom Soapbar P-90s. They have that fat, raw single-coil thing that P-90s do so well, with plenty of midrange and bite but still enough clarity to keep chords sounding open. The 3-way switch and individual volume and tone controls keep everything straightforward, which is exactly how a guitar like this should be.

The 60s SlimTaper mahogany neck gives it a quicker feel than the chunkier necks you’d find on some of the earlier Les Paul reissues. The 12" rosewood fingerboard and 24.75" scale keep the familiar Gibson feel, while the double cutaway gives you much easier access farther up the neck than the original single-cut Special.

The Historic Aluminum Wraparound bridgekeeps the hardware simple and period-appropriate, and the Gibson open-book headstock is a pretty cool detail on this Epiphone/Gibson Custom collaboration. 

This is a really fun combination of old-school Gibson simplicity and a little more modern playability. Two P-90s, mahogany construction, a SlimTaper neck, and that TV White finish make for a pretty killer recipe. Comes with the hardshell case.
