Reloop RP-7 Professional DJ Turntable System

Reloop RP-7
The Reloop RP-7 is the world's first professionally mass-produced, direct-drive DJ turntable built specifically for 7" vinyl. Designed as a tribute to 45s culture, it honours those who regard the 7" format as far more than a music medium — it's a cultural artifact, a collector's passion, and a living piece of music history. Rather than treating the smaller format as a novelty, Reloop engineered the RP-7 with the same uncompromising standards applied to its flagship RP series, making it a genuine professional instrument for a devoted community.

A Tonearm Built for Precision
At the heart of the RP-7's playback performance is a straight copper tonearm engineered for exceptional tracking accuracy. Internal rubber damping minimises resonance, keeping the signal clean and the stylus firmly planted in the groove. The height-adjustable tonearm base is adapted directly from Reloop's best-selling RP-7000 MK2 and RP-8000 MK2 models — proven professional hardware now refined for the 7" format. The statically balanced design is a standout feature: it eliminates the need for anti-skating entirely, simplifying setup and removing a common source of user error. The result is a tonearm that installs quickly, performs reliably, and demands very little ongoing adjustment.
Motor Performance and Platter Engineering
The RP-7's newly developed brushless DC motor delivers 2.5 kg/cm of torque, purpose-built for the demands of professional DJ use. Its finely tuned characteristics minimise wow and flutter, ensuring consistent pitch stability whether the deck is used for casual listening or high-pressure scratch performance. The precision-manufactured die-cast aluminium platter complements the motor's capabilities, providing the mass and balance necessary for smooth, stable rotation. An integrated switching power supply rounds out the engineering, actively reducing electrical interference and keeping the signal path as clean as possible.
Professional DJ Functionality
The RP-7 is equipped with the full feature set professional DJs expect. Three selectable tempo ranges — ±8%, ±16%, and ±35% — provide the flexibility to beatmatch across a wide variety of BPMs, while a dedicated reset button instantly restores the platter to its base speed. Speed options cover 33 1/3 RPM, 45 RPM, and 78 RPM, accommodating virtually every vinyl scenario a DJ might encounter. A detachable, freely rotatable aluminium LED light ensures the label and grooves remain clearly visible in low-light environments. Connectivity is handled through a fully recessed connection terminal with switchable phono/line outputs and gold-plated connectors, allowing the RP-7 to integrate into any setup without requiring dedicated phono inputs. The deep black metallic finish and robust chassis complete the professional aesthetic, equally at home in a living room, studio, or on the event floor.
Why We Love This
Our gear experts who love vinyl appreciate the RP-7 because it's the first professional turntable built exclusively around the 7" format they've always championed. Its straight copper tonearm, high-torque DC motor, and precision aluminium platter deliver the same playback integrity found in full-size professional decks. Speed options spanning 33 1/3, 45, and 78 RPM mean no record in a collection is out of reach, and the simplified, anti-skating-free tonearm design lets musicians focus entirely on the music rather than fussing with setup.
