MXL AC-44 Miniature USB C Mobile Microphone

Introducing the MXL AC-44
The MXL AC-44 is a miniature USB-C boundary microphone built for the demands of modern communication. Whether you're connecting with colleagues across the globe, consulting with a patient via telemedicine, or leading a discussion in a classroom, the AC-44 delivers crystal clear speech intelligibility that removes the barriers that unclear audio creates. Its compact, unobtrusive form factor makes it equally at home on a desk, a conference table, or a medical cart — wherever high-quality sound capture is needed most.

Plug and Play Simplicity
Setup couldn't be more straightforward. Powered entirely by a USB-C connection, the AC-44 offers true plug and play functionality with no drivers or installers required. Simply connect the cable and the microphone is ready to go. For users who need to route audio into a recording interface or capture device, the AC-44 also includes an additional line level auxiliary output, giving it versatility beyond a standard USB microphone. This combination of effortless connectivity and added output flexibility makes the AC-44 an ideal fit for both everyday users and IT-managed deployments at scale.
Wide Sound Coverage by Design
At the heart of the AC-44's performance is MXL's signature 3-capsule boundary design. This engineering approach is specifically tuned to enhance direct sounds while actively mitigating noise and echoes in any workspace — a critical quality in open-plan offices, busy huddle rooms, or clinical environments where ambient sound is unavoidable. The microphone's wide 180-degree cardioid pickup pattern provides excellent pickup across a generous range, focusing on sound sources in front of the microphone while rejecting unwanted noise from behind. With a pickup range extending to 25 feet (7.62 meters), the AC-44 comfortably covers everything from a single-user workstation to a medium-sized meeting room or a classroom setting, offering genuine flexibility across a wide range of real-world use cases.
Built to Last, Designed to Travel
The AC-44's compact footprint belies its rugged construction. Engineered with an all-metal frame and a durable metal grill, the microphone is built to withstand the rigors of daily use in busy industrial environments, high-traffic facilities, and on the road. Its small size and solid build make it just as capable as a travel companion for remote workers as it is as a permanent fixture on a telemedicine cart or an OEM-integrated component in an industrial workstation. For organizations looking to deploy the AC-44 within a custom solution — whether in healthcare, education, or specialized industry — MXL offers direct support for telemedicine and OEM integration, ensuring the microphone can be tailored precisely to fit the requirements of any given application.Descriptive copy.
