Introducing the KRK V4S5
For more than 40 years, KRK Systems' V-SERIES near field monitors have anchored countless music productions for top mix engineers and producers worldwide. The V4S5 represents the fifth generation of this legacy, preserving the accuracy, precision, and mix translation the series is known for while introducing new tools built for the modern studio. Every component—from woofer to enclosure—has been custom designed and purposefully developed by KRK engineers specifically for this monitor.

Wireless Control with KRK Mesh® and the KRK Control® App
The V4S5 extends studio usability through KRK Mesh® technology, which allows wireless control of settings directly from the KRK Control® app. Monitors can be operated individually or grouped into configurations ranging from a simple stereo pair to a full Dolby ATMOS® setup. Through the app, users can adjust every function post-installation, A/B compare different EQ settings, and control level and mute—all without touching the hardware. In essence, the app functions as a wireless remote for the V4S5 and other KRK professional audio equipment.
Precision-Engineered Transducers
The V4S5's 4" woofer uses a cast aluminum frame paired with a dual-layer woven Kevlar™ cone for excellent midrange performance. An optimized suspension system delivers linear low-frequency response even under high excursion, while an aluminum shorting ring minimizes distortion and improves linearity. A bucking magnet enhances motor performance and adds magnetic shielding. On the high end, the tweeter combines a waveguide for controlled off-axis response with a silk dome for well-damped HF extension. A copper cap reduces distortion and improves frequency extension, and acoustic foam absorbs rear radiation to dampen resonances and improve transient response.
Studio-Grade Electronics and Features
At the core of the V4S5 sits an electronics package built with industry-best ESS converters, Analog Devices DSPs, and Pascal® class D amplifier modules for accurate, truthful sound reproduction. A front-mounted function knob provides access to all menus and controls, and the monitor accepts balanced XLR/¼" TRS analog input or AES3 digital input, with AES3 through capability. Whether used for a chart-topping mix, a film score, or a personal project, the V4S5 is built to capture every nuance of a production with clarity.
