Styled in a natural finish, the C7-CE from Cordoba is a nylon-string acoustic/electric guitar with a cutaway body that combines the full, warm, and responsive tone of a solid western red cedar top and rosewood for the back and sides, resulting in a deep, bassy tone. An onboard Fishman Presys Blend preamp system is included for amplifying the instrument.
The instrument’s mahogany neck, measuring 25.5” in scale, is fitted with a 19-fret rosewood fingerboard. A bone nut and saddle are employed to bolster sustain and resonance on open strings. Additionally, a dual-action adjustable truss rod helps to keep the neck straight if changes in climate or humidity occur.
Aesthetic touches abound, such as maple and black purfling and rosewood binding. A rosewood bridge affixes strings to the body, while a set of Cordoba gold and black tuning machines secures them at the headstock.
For electronics, this instrument is outfitted with a Fishman Presys Blend preamp system, which includes an undersaddle piezo pickup and an internal microphone. The preamp system provides controls for volume, bass, middle, and treble, as well as a notch filter knob for eliminating low-end feedback, and a phase switch to improve bass response at low volumes and suppress feedback at high volumes.
A mic blend control allows you to adjust the balance between the internal microphone and the pickup, and an internal mic trim pot provides further adjustment to fine-tune the mic's level. Also provided is a built-in tuner, which makes it easy to check your tuning and quickly make adjustments between songs.
