The Player II Mustang exudes timeless Fender charm while being designed for the modern player. The Modern C-shaped neck back features a silky satin urethane finish, and the 9.5-inch radius slab rosewood or maple fingerboard with carefully rolled-off fingerboard edges and 22 medium jumbo frets provides comfortable playability along its entire length.

Featuring a classic alder body, the Player II Mustang offers a wide range of color options, from traditional Fender finishes to new finishes unearthed from Fender's color archives and featured for the first time in this series. Player Series Alnico V Single-Coil Mustang pickups deliver crystal-clear highs, musical midranges, and tight lows. A 3-way toggle switch allows for versatile sound shaping, from the neck pickup's exquisitely clear tone to the bridge pickup's crisp, crunchy tone. A 6-bent steel saddle hardtail bridge and ClassicGear tuning machines ensure tuning stability and provide the flexibility to explore endless sonic possibilities.
