This is our take on the classic Rangemaster Treble Booster with a couple of twists.

The name Red Ochre refers to a beautiful and rocky beach, right on our back door. It has gorgeous sandy stretches and rugged cliffs offering all the tonal options our amazing treble booster offers. Clean glassy through to almost fuzzy goodness.

Tuned just a little darker than the original pedal in it's brightest position, the boost is designed to offer classic drive and snarl to your tone without any edgy ear piercing spikes. The bright through to dark options are all usable tones and work with a variety of guitars, pickups and amps.

Each Van Diemens pedal is hand built, point to point, one at a time using carefully selected vintage components. When tuning our pedals, we set standard transistor voltages at the beginning, but then finalize the setup tuning by ear, looking for the perfect sweet spot and finalize the bias once that point has been reached. We use classic pull back cloth wire and each board is hand crafted using either turrets, eyelets or through hole construction.

Other vintage components that can be found in these builds can include

• Philips Electrolytic caps
• Ducon, Mullard Tropical Fish, WIMA and STC caps in the tone section
• Ducon Polyester, Mullard Mustard, Iskra and other output coupling caps
• Allen Bradley, Piher and Jackson resistors

Mechanical components include

• Alpha pots
• Dailywell footswitch
• Dailywell toggle switch (where applicable)
• Neutrik jacks
• Red LED
• Lumburg 2.1mm DC power socket

All this is housed in a Hammond enclosure finished in a very robust and lovely textured Gold powdercoat. The pedal comes with a calico bag, booklet, rubber feet.

IMPORTANT: This pedal uses PNP Germanium transistors and the External power is Negative (-) Center. DO NOT power this pedal using a daisy chain. Use Isolated power supplies only. Failing to do so could damage the pedal.

This preloved product has been carefully tested when purchased and again before it’s shipped to you, so you can shop with confidence. Each item comes with a 3-month electrical warranty and a 6-month structural warranty, excluding accidental damage, misuse or broken strings.
