The Compact 60/3, nicknamed "Bingo", is the 3rd revision of the German best-seller for acoustic instruments: 60 watts at 4 ohms via an 8″ full-range dual-cone speaker housed in a birch plywood cabinet, for a low weight; two independent channels, the first designed for guitar with High/Low switch and -10dB pad, gain, Colour switch and 3-band EQ (bass/mid/treble), the second in Line/Mic for vocals or second instrument also with 3-band EQ, plus a shared effects section (pan, 4-way selector between two reverbs, delay and chorus) and an effects loop for those who want their own pedals; balanced XLR DI outputs and headphone jack included. The point that comes up systematically in tests as well as among users (Tommy Emmanuel, John Renbourn, and even archtop jazz players adopt it instead of a traditional tube amp): its preamp has a particular talent for softening the hard and brittle side of piezo pickups, to the point of being called a "miracle amp".
