Vintage Yamaha YD9000 birch kit in excellent overall condition. This is one of Yamaha’s classic-era professional kits from the late 1970s/early 1980s, featuring Yamaha’s highly regarded birch shells and iconic vintage hardware.

Sizes:

• 24” × 14” Bass Drum
• 13” × 9” Rack Tom
• 14” × 10” Rack Tom
• 18” × 15” Floor Tom

The white wrap is exceptionally clean for its age, with only minor scratches here and there, if any. Overall, the shells present extremely well and have a great vintage appearance.

Chrome is also in very good condition for a kit of this age. There is some minor chrome flaking/pitting in areas, but nothing excessive and certainly nothing that takes away from the overall presentation of the kit.

The bass drum hoop has some minor rash/wear, consistent with normal use and age.

These YD9000s are known for their powerful, punchy, articulate birch tone, excellent projection, and the unmistakable sound of vintage Yamaha professional drums. The 24” kick gives this kit plenty of low-end authority while the 13”/14”/18” tom configuration makes it extremely versatile for rock, classic rock, country, worship, studio work, or anyone looking for that vintage Yamaha sound.

Overall condition: Excellent for its age.

A really clean example of a classic Yamaha professional kit. These older YD9000s are becoming increasingly difficult to find in this kind of condition, especially in the larger 24”/18” configuration.
