Vintage 1980 Ibanez TS-808 Tube Screamer – Serial #101098 – Original Box

Early original Ibanez TS-808 Tube Screamer, made in Japan and dating to around 1980.

This is a particularly early example with serial number 101098, featuring the early MP-D01201A circuit board and Texas Instruments RC4558P Malaysia op-amp.

The pedal shows very heavy genuine play wear to the enclosure, with substantial paint loss, scratches and general ageing throughout. It has clearly been used rather than stored away, but the wear gives it a great vintage look and is consistent with a pedal of this age.

Internally, the circuit appears original, with no obvious modern modifications or replaced components visible on inspection. Both sides of the PCB have been photographed.

Also included is the original Ibanez box, which is increasingly difficult to find with these early TS-808s.

The pedal is functioning correctly and sounds exactly as you would expect from an early Tube Screamer — smooth, warm overdrive with the classic mid-focused response these original units are known for.
