Since its founding in 1989, Atelier Z has been promoting Japanese-made active basses and continues to be loved by bassists both in Japan and abroad.

This model belongs to the M (MAGNITUDE) series, one of Atelier Z’s flagship lines that has enjoyed enduring popularity since its debut. This series combines a solid, grounded low end with a brilliant, exceptionally clear sound, making it the quintessential active JB bass recognized by countless musicians. Thanks to its high-precision craftsmanship, it is set up for low action, making it suitable for any playing style.

The sound features an extremely fast attack, delivering outstanding punch when slapping. Furthermore, it is characterized by thick, sustained bass tones combined with clear, well-defined highs that cut through the mix, ensuring it never gets lost in a band ensemble.

Furthermore, the Bartolini MCT-375 (Mid Control) built into this model allows you to fine-tune the sound to create practical, “usable” tones for real-world performance.

Be sure to try out the clear, tight sound produced by the solid ash body.
