Please note that this is a 1973 guitar, and the information provided is based on online sources, as original catalogs and documentation for this model are difficult to find. Available sources often contain conflicting specifications, so the details listed here represent my best assessment after cross-referencing multiple references. I encourage potential buyers to conduct their own research as well.
Condition:
This guitar is in remarkably clean condition for its age. Naturally, there are a few minor scratches and dings from normal use over the years, but overall it has been very well preserved.
The guitar is easy and comfortable to play, with a good action of approximately 2.8 mm on the bass side and 2.5 mm on the treble side. Please note that these measurements may vary slightly depending on humidity and seasonal changes.
The frets have approximately 70-80% life remaining, and the neck appears straight. This is, of course, my personal assessment, so if you would like additional photos to verify the condition yourself, please feel free to ask.
It is becoming increasingly rare to find a guitar from 1973 in such clean and well-maintained condition. Not only does it have the look and charm of a true vintage instrument, but it also sounds fantastic. The stamp of the model has faded and no longer visible but the owner verified it is no.120, also you can cross check online sources and the looks and build do coincide to it being a 120.
The tone is rich and resonant, with strong bass response, clear mids, and sparkling highs. It offers excellent sustain, a wide dynamic range, and a highly enjoyable playing experience. The action is currently set at approximately 2.8 mm on the bass side and 2.5 mm on the treble side, though this may change slightly with humidity.
This guitar is truly special. With more than five decades of history behind it, one can't help but wonder about all the wonderful music that has been played on it over the years. Don't miss this opportunity to own a beautiful vintage instrument with both character and history.
Grab it now and give this classic guitar its next chapter.
Important Note
This guitar was in storage for a long time before I acquired it, and I have not had it checked by a luthier. I own and play many vintage guitars, but I strongly recommend having this instrument professionally inspected and set up after purchase.
Although these Made in Japan guitars are built like tanks, this is still a roughly 50-year-old instrument, so I want to set realistic expectations to ensure a great experience for the buyer.
The specifications listed are based on online sources and may vary slightly from the actual guitar. Due to the rarity of the models I sell, reliable information can be difficult to find, so I encourage buyers to cross-check details if needed.
I can confidently say that this guitar sounds great, and I am happy to provide a playing and sound demo video to serious buyers upon request. I plan to upload demo videos to YouTube in the future, but due to a busy schedule, I currently provide videos directly to interested buyers.
My goal is for you to receive the guitar with no surprises. I would rather not sell a guitar at all than risk a bad experience for a buyer — integrity is very important to me.
Please feel free to:
- Ask any questions before purchasing
- Examine the photos carefully (taken with a professional-grade camera to show as much detail as possible, you can zoom on pictures and it should show more details on wood grain etc.)
- Request additional photos from specific angles if needed
I will respond as quickly as possible.
I am open to reasonable offers, so feel free to ask.
