1996 Fender U.S. Lone Star Stratocaster - Sunburst w/case (serial # N6116808)

The U.S. Lone Star Strat RW 3TS features a combination of pickups that includes two Texas Special single-coil pickups and a Seymour Duncan Pearly Gates Plus humbucker and the pickups appear to be original along with the hardware. This configuration allows for a wide range of tones, from classic Stratocaster clarity to powerful humbucker sounds, making it suitable for various music styles.

In 1996 (Fender’s 50th anniversary as a company), Fender issued a handful of special edition Stratocasters with features not found on their American Standard guitars. Among them were the Roadhouse, Big Apple and Lone Star Models. The Lonestars were made from 1996 - 2000 so this will be among the first of these Stratocaster models and getting harder to find.

It was named after the Lone Star State, which is a nickname for Texas, reflecting the guitar's connection to American culture and music, particularly in the blues and country genres. The "RW" stands for rosewood, indicating the type of fretboard, and "3TS" refers to the three-tone sunburst finish.

There is a dime size ding on the back and a couple of nicks and scuffs but still a beauty with great action, wonderful sound and easy playability up and down the C-shaped neck. The tone is typical HSS with a pretty good growl from the bridge pickup, and clean highs from the two single coils. Comes with the original Tweed case with center latch broken but still usable.
