The 1969 Martin D-18 is a vintage dreadnought acoustic guitar built in Nazareth, Pennsylvania, featuring a solid Sitka spruce top, mahogany back and sides, and a Brazilian rosewood fingerboard. Known for its balanced tone and clear projection, it remains one of Martin’s most revered designs from the late 1960s.
This guitar has been looked after excptionally well over it's lifetime, leaving little to no scratches or dings. It's tonal character of this guitar are second-to-none. This D-18 has a particularly bright and full sound that can that only be described as magestic. One strum is all it takes to stop traffic with one of the most distinctly delightful dreadnoughts Martin has ever crafted.
As one of the final D-18s produced before major material and construction changes in the early 1970s, this model is highly sought after by collectors and players. Its combination of Brazilian rosewood components, pre-70s build quality, and outstanding tone make it a rare and desirable piece of Martin history.
