I'm selling a 1999 Sovtek/EHX Big Muff Pi "Black Russian" V8 first edition. With a heavy duty six screw box, this small-box black unit was the final version of the Russian made Big Muffs.
It is nearly identical in tone to the coveted V7C Bubble Font/V7D Black Russian. Not a subtle box, the sustain on this sings. It tracks chords really well and absolutely shines with bass. It has Less gain, fatter bottom end, and brighter mids (than most vintage USA Big Muffs) and cuts through a live mix like butter.
I've had this in my arsenal since early 2000s. It doesn't get enough use. This is super clean and sounds amazing. Pedal and controls are 100% functional. The LED is super dead, but c'mon y'all, this is a fuzz pedal - You know when it is engaged! Comes with a one-spot 9V battery clip converter for power supplies.
