JAM Pedals Wahcko mk2 Wah Pedal

The JAM Pedals Wahcko mk2 Wah Pedal builds on a design that's been part of the JAM lineup since 2008, keeping the expressive sweep and immediate response of the original while giving you more ways to tailor the pedal to your rig. At its heart is a custom JAM inductor inspired by the vintage TDK inductors used in classic 1960s Cry Baby and Vox wah circuits. If you like a traditional wah feel but want more control over exactly where that sweep sits with your instrument and amp, the mk2 gives you considerably more room to dial it in.

The familiar six-position SWEEP rotary switch lets you choose between six different frequency ranges rather than locking you into one wah voice. Inside, the original input-gain trimmer remains, and the mk2 adds a Q trimmer for adjusting the character and intensity of the wah response. New internal DIP switches also let you configure the circuit for guitar or bass, extending the Wahcko's usefulness into lower registers without requiring a separate bass-specific wah.

Battery operation returns on the mk2, which is handy if you prefer running a wah without tying it into your pedalboard power supply. We think the real strength of the Wahcko mk2 is that all of its additional adjustment stays out of the way once you've found your setup. Choose the sweep range, fine-tune the gain and Q if needed, set it for guitar or bass, and from there it behaves like the straightforward, expressive wah you want under your foot.
