Fano Alt de Facto JM4/Vintage Cream【Serial:260803】

Fano Guitars Alt de Facto JM4/Vintage Cream [Serial: 260803]

The Fano Guitars Alt de Facto series pays homage to several great American guitar makers from the 1950s onward.

These classic yet original models embody the “Alt de Facto”—a hypothetical reality—of what might have been created

if the pioneering innovators of that era had all crafted guitars under one roof.

This JM4 model is designed for bassists who find orthodox basses lacking,

and is crafted to stand out both visually and sonically.

The vintage body style follows the classic “non-reverse” design of the late 1960s,

and the 34″ scale length ensures a sound that won’t get lost even during fast-paced performances.

It is equipped with two of Fano Guitars’ original “Fano Bird” pickups

and features a simple three-knob control layout with two volume controls and a master tone control.

It is characterized by a rich yet well-defined sound. It has minimal quirks and is versatile enough for a wide range of genres.

This model is finished in Vintage Cream.

The body has an X-Light distress (aged) finish, while the neck has a Medium distress finish.

The aged neck feels great to the touch and immediately feels like it fits your hand.

Due to a dent approximately 1 cm in size visible on the side of the body near the jack, this item is being sold at a “New Item Special Price.”

Since this dent was present when the guitar arrived at our store, we believe it was caused either during manufacturing or shipping.

There are no issues with playability. Please be aware of this in advance.

[What is Fano Guitars?]

A guitar brand founded by Dennis Fano, recognized as one of the top builders in the U.S.

for his genius craftsmanship, exceptional playability, and outstanding sound.

Although Dennis Fano has since left Fano Guitars, the brand continues to perfectly carry on

the masterful designs, engineering, and sound he created.

In 2026, Fano Guitars significantly overhauled its manufacturing operations.

The company entered into an OEM partnership with BilT Guitars, based in Des Moines, Iowa,

and transitioned to a new production system in which BilT handles everything from woodworking to finishing for Fano Guitars.

The final stages—including fretwork, assembly, and setup—

are handled by Graham, a Fano guitar builder.

Even today, Fano guitars feature carefully selected woods and parts from reliable suppliers who are constantly evolving

while maintaining top quality.

We pursue the unique, hand-built quality that defines Fano, with meticulous attention to every detail.
