This is an 90’s era (Made in Japan) DR Heartfield bass. I enjoy 5 strings, and this one has a great tone.
It’s a beautiful black and red finish, bolt on neck, rosewood board with dot inlays, (24 frets) It’s around 9lb or so 19mm string spacing.
Pickups: Low-impedance EMG-designed single-coils (hum-canceling)
Electronics: Active/Passive bypass switch, XLR DI output jack.
Preamp: Unique preamp design heavily inspired by Alembic. It features a sweepable filter control that shapes your tone to fit any genre with a single knob—all without losing the bass's natural character. Switching to passive (bypass) delivers a classic, sweet Jazz Bass tone.
