GGress J 2026 - Redwood

I came upon this gorgeous one-piece redwood top from a small California mill and designed this unique guitar around it.  It has a mahogany hollow body shape that is my original, a flame maple 24” scale burly  set neck and 12” radius fretboard with pearl and abalone inlay dots. Created to emulate the best of jazz guitars, it has an archtop type bridge and outstanding tailpiece. Versatile electronics start with a set of “smoky” humbuckers, custom handwound by Ben’s Pickups in the woods of North Carolina and continue with a coil-tap option, onboard underdrive, and 4-contact PureTone output jack. The neck pickup is sweet and warm and the overwound bridge is ready to scream. 8 pounds of pure sustain is added to the breathy hollowbody tones.
