Up for sale is my Lakland USA 55-94 Deluxe 5-string bass, serial number 7705. This is an exceptional custom-spec bass featuring a beautiful Buckeye Burl top over an ash body, ebony fingerboard, black headstock, and gold hardware package.

The figuring in the Buckeye Burl is particularly striking, with a lot of natural variation and character throughout the top. This bass looks every bit as good in person as it does in the photographs.

The bass is equipped with Lakland's LH3 active electronics and the classic Lakland MM/J pickup configuration, giving it the wide range of tones the 55-94 is known for—from articulate, punchy and aggressive to warm and full.

Condition

The bass is in excellent condition and has been well cared for. There are no significant cosmetic issues that detract from the appearance or playability of the instrument. The Buckeye Burl top is the standout feature of this particular bass, and the black-and-gold appointments complement it beautifully.

The neck is straight, the bass plays well, and the electronics function properly.
