Moon Guitars is a long-established Japanese component guitar brand founded in 1978.

It prides itself on the reliable woodworking and assembly techniques of “P.G.M.,” a group of skilled craftsmen, and is characterized by a high level of craftsmanship that brings to life the sounds players seek.

Its guitars and basses, featuring an ultra-thin oil finish and meticulously selected materials, have continued to earn the unwavering trust of top musicians both in Japan and abroad—including Larry Graham—for many years.

The “Climb” is a landmark model among high-end Japanese-made basses.

Its design, a masterful fusion of skilled craftsmanship and carefully selected materials, has earned immense trust even in professional settings.

While retaining the traditional original shape and a laminated mahogany and maple body structure, the top and back feature high-quality padauk. Within the reddish grain, the wood’s growth rings run in orderly lines, as if tracing the path of an arrow, exuding an overwhelming presence.

The weight balance is exquisitely designed, making the guitar feel surprisingly light when held. With no risk of the headstock drooping, it boasts exceptional playability that puts no strain on the player.

The neck and fingerboard feature Moon’s signature combination of maple and ebony.

The joint features a 5-point deep joint design. This transmits string vibration to the body without loss, delivering excellent attack, well-defined tone, and a solid, full-bodied sound.

In terms of sound, its major appeal lies in its excellent responsiveness, clear projection, and rich dynamic range.

In active mode, it produces a sound that combines crisp articulation with pleasant high-end clarity. Rather than piercing, harsh highs, the attack can be precisely controlled depending on your picking nuances.

When switched to passive mode, the tone shifts to a natural and understated character, making it a perfect match for a laid-back rhythmic approach.

Despite its solid popularity, the Clime is produced in limited quantities.

If you’ve been searching for one, please be sure to consider this opportunity.
