With the Fender California Deluxe Redondo Jr.E Honey Sunburst, the long-established US manufacturer is expanding its California series with a versatile acoustic guitar from the brand-new Redondo Deluxe line. This handy mini dreadnought is aimed at all age groups and impresses with both its comfortable playability and outstanding sound in true Fender acoustic style. On top of that, the model features a built-in pickup with a side-mounted preamp and is also a real eye-catcher.

Sonically, the guitar impresses with its classic tonewood combination of a solid spruce top and a back and sides made from laminated mahogany. This results in a superbly balanced sound with clear trebles and prominent mids. Meanwhile, the solid construction of the top and the scalloped X-bracing ensure the necessary projection, further enhancing the guitar’s resonance.

In terms of playability, the Fender California Deluxe Redondo Jr.E Honey Sunburst impresses with its compact dimensions. The non-slip mini-dreadnought body sits comfortably against the body, allowing children, teenagers and smaller adults alike to experience that characteristic dreadnought feel. The short scale length of 610 millimetres and the mahogany neck with a Slim-C profile also guarantee a comfortable playing experience with reduced string tension.

To enable the guitar to be amplified, it is fitted with a Fishman pickup system. In addition to a rich live sound, an integrated side-mounted preamp allows for adjustments to suit personal preferences. Volume and tone controls for bass and treble allow for precise fine-tuning of the sound, whilst a built-in tuner ensures the instrument can be tuned quickly.

With its Honey Sunburst finish, the Fender California Deluxe Redondo Jr.E Honey Sunburst makes a striking visual statement. The gentle colour gradient creates a warm visual depth that is sure to catch the eye. This is complemented by the tortoise bindings and the matching tortoise pickguard, which lend the model an extra touch of vintage flair. The guitar is rounded off by the characteristic headstock, which provides that unmistakable Fender charm.
