Fender Japan JB62-FL – 2005–2006 3-Tone Sunburst

Based on the classic 1962-style Jazz Bass, the JB62-FL is a factory fretless model from Fender Japan. Finished in the timeless combination of 3-Tone Sunburst with a tortoiseshell-style pickguard, it has a classic and unmistakably vintage-inspired appearance.

The fretless construction delivers the characteristic woody, warm tone and smooth, expressive sound associated with fretless basses.

The rosewood fingerboard features fret lines, making it easier to locate accurate notes and providing an approachable playing experience even for players who are new to fretless bass.

The instrument has been fully serviced and set up by our repair department.

Maintenance Performed

• Full cleaning
• Fingerboard cleaning and conditioning
• Cleaning of electronics, including pots and jack
• Complete setup, including string action, truss rod adjustment, intonation, and pickup height

The neck is currently set with very slight relief and is close to straight.

String action at the 12th fret:

• 4th string: approx. 2.8mm
• 3rd string: approx. 2.5mm
• 2nd string: approx. 2.3mm
• 1st string: approx. 2.1mm

The truss rod remains adjustable in both directions.

There is some age-related tarnishing to the metal hardware, along with minor scratches and normal signs of use. However, there is no significant damage, deep dents, or major impact wear, and there are no issues affecting playability. Considering its age, the bass remains in good overall condition.

A soft case is included.
