1983 Squier by Fender Bullet S-3T – MIJ – SQ45878 – Original Squier HSC

For sale is my 1983 Squier by Fender Bullet S-3T, Made in Japan, serial number SQ45878, complete with its original Squier hard case, factory-original bridge pickup, and original tremolo/whammy bar.

This is an early SQ-series Japanese Squier from the first years of Squier production. These early MIJ instruments have developed a strong following among players and collectors for their build quality, vintage Fender character, and place in the history of Fender's Japanese production.

This is the Bullet S-3T, featuring three single-coil pickups, tremolo bridge, maple neck and fingerboard, black pickguard, and the distinctive early-'80s Bullet design.

Lace Sensor Upgrade — Original Pickup Included

The factory bridge pickup has been replaced with a Lace Sensor single-coil pickup. Lace Sensors are known for delivering clear single-coil response while reducing the noise and hum traditionally associated with conventional single coils.

The modification is reversible: the factory-original Squier bridge pickup is included with the guitar, allowing the next owner to restore the guitar to its original pickup configuration if desired.

The original tremolo/whammy bar is also included. No back plate.

At more than 40 years old, the guitar naturally shows evidence of age and use. Please examine the photographs carefully for cosmetic condition. It presents very well for an early-'80s instrument.

The combination of its early SQ-series production, original Squier hard case, original bridge pickup and original tremolo arm makes this an unusually complete example. The installed Lace Sensor provides a useful playing upgrade without sacrificing the ability to return the guitar to its factory pickup configuration.
