This is an original Gibson single-ply backplate that came from a 1978 THE PAUL guitar. Plate is in excellent condition...no damage, just normal "swirls" and "microscopic" handling wear. Looks fantastic. We made some high quality plastics back then!! The face is a shiny finish and the back is a "flat" or matte finish.
