Produced in a worldwide run of only 500 sets, this anniversary kit combines the proven construction and sound of the popular AQ2 series with an exclusive finish and commemorative details created specifically for SONOR’s 150th anniversary.

The shells are constructed from 100% maple, combining North American and Chinese maple for the warm, balanced and versatile character associated with the AQ2 series. For this limited edition, SONOR uses an elegant Ebony replica outer veneer, applied vertically in the tradition of the company’s higher-end drums and finished in a beautiful clear high-gloss lacquer. Matching Ebony-style bass drum hoops complete the distinctive appearance.

Special anniversary details separate this kit from a standard AQ2 set. The drums feature embossed SONOR 150th Anniversary badges, along with an exclusive anniversary-design resonant front bass drum head. This is not simply a standard AQ2 in a different finish—it was created as a commemorative SONOR collector's set.

Hardware appointments include SONOR's die-cast AQ lugs with TuneSafe, designed to help maintain consistent tuning, as well as the SMART Mount suspension system for the rack toms. A DTH 4000 Double Tom Holder is included for mounting the 10" and 12" toms.

With a full six-piece configuration including two rack toms, two floor toms, snare and a 22" bass drum, this kit offers a substantial setup suitable for recording, live performance, home studios or as a centerpiece in a SONOR collection.
