I never thought I’d put this bass guitar up for sale but here it is and let me say you are looking at a needle in a haystack. If you do find another one, and if it looks better than this one, you should buy it. I’ll consider serious offers. I don’t want to trade for anything. I’m the original owner and it’s well preserved in a smoke free home. Thanks.

October 2009 Ric 4001 C64 (tribute to Paul) bass in FireGlo. Paul’s Ric first appeared in a picture that came in the Magical Mystery Tour booklet (see pic). He pretty much recorded with that bass during the non-touring albums. He went back to the Hofner for the Let It Be album. Notice that his bass is a lefty body with a righty neck - thus the headstock is upside down. So what Rickenbacker did for this short run was to offer a righty body with a lefty neck - to give that same “look” for right handed players. During Paul’s “Wings” era, he had stripped the fireglo finish to bare wood. Ric also offered that one during this period.

This one weighs 9.5 pounds. Reverb does not allow us to list something as “mint”. It’s near “as new” except for a very small jeans rivet mark on the back side. I had a hard time seeing it and getting a photo of it. But it’s there. Otherwise el perfecto condition.
