Video Features 100% maple shells The Maple series shells are made from 6 plies of maple with a total thickness of 4.8 mm. Sound was the highest priority when designing Polmuz drums. Balanced midrange and high tones provide great versatility across many musical styles. The full, powerful character and rich resonance of the shells was achieved through the use of carefully selected maple plies, as well as attention to shell forming and edge shaping. Edges The 45° angle edge cut ensures they make contact with the head at the optimal point. Each edge on Polmuz drums has been sanded and additionally waxed, ensuring perfect head-to-shell contact. The result is clear tone throughout the full frequency range. Sharp edge finishing on tom bearing edges provides quick attack and short sustain, while the rounded edge on bass drums generates unique and warm vintage tone. Finish The matte finish on Polmuz drums gives each kit a unique look and distinctive sound. The lacquer used on the Maple Polmuz finish is of the highest quality. Tube Lug Tube Lugs are characteristic of all Polmuz drums. The unique Tube Lug design makes them look like traditional mounts, but the lug shell "floats" above the drum shell, so as to minimize contact with the drum. This allows the entire shell to resonate in full range. To minimize the risk of drum detuning, each lug features a long screw that seats deep into the lug. Furthermore, each one has double reinforcement in the form of washers - metal and nylon - which guarantee tuning stability. Chrome hardware All hardware on Polmuz drums is finished with chrome plating. The beautiful appearance provides a sense of highest quality materials used and breaks with the brand's unfortunate reputation from years past. The cast logo on Polmuz shells is a true declaration of quality and style. Made from solid brass and chrome-plated, the Polmuz nameplate is a guarantee and also a hallmark of the highest level of craftsmanship in each drum. Mounting system A non-invasive mounting system ensures maximum resonance and stability regardless of conditions. The streamlined construction makes it easy to position toms closer together, providing greater freedom and comfort. Additionally, parts made from aluminum ensure lighter weight. Bass drum hooks The hooks on Polmuz kits are equipped with rubber pads that help protect their wooden rims from damage. In this arrangement, hooks and rims form one cohesive unit, so they don't separate or rattle, even with loose tuning. Heads Clear, single-ply, high-quality bearing heads are used on these drums. The bass drum head additionally features a wide muffling collar. The resonant heads are distinguished by a characteristic vintage-style head with a prominent Polmuz logo.
