Mayones ORI Enji 5 - Mecha Blue

The Mayones ORI takes its name from origami, the Japanese art of transforming a simple sheet of paper through precise folds and considered geometry. That same philosophy is at the heart of the instrument, where clean lines, angular contours, and meticulous construction come together to create a bass that is as visually distinctive as it is purposeful.

The ORI Enji combines Mayones’ uncompromising approach to craftsmanship with a distinctly modern aesthetic. Its sculpted body and sharp, architectural lines give the instrument an almost futuristic presence, while the carefully shaped construction keeps the focus firmly on playability, balance, and performance. The five-string format adds extended range without compromising the clarity and definition expected from a high-end Mayones bass thanks to the multi-scale.

The Wenge neck adds both a distinctive visual character and a focused tonal response. Known for its dense, rigid structure, Wenge provides a quick, immediate response with excellent note definition, sustain, and clarity across the instrument’s extended five-string range. Its naturally textured feel also gives the neck a substantial, organic character in the hand, while its stability makes it particularly well suited to a precision-built instrument designed for demanding performance.

Finished in Mecha Blue, the ORI Enji makes a statement through design rather than excess. It is an instrument where form and function are deliberately intertwined, with every contour serving a purpose and every detail reflecting Mayones’ attention to precision. From its striking silhouette to its expansive tonal range, the ORI Enji is a modern five-string bass designed for players who appreciate exceptional craftsmanship and genuinely original design.
