Some guitars are designed to follow trends. Others define them.

The Standard Legacy traces its roots back to one of the earliest instruments John Suhr built by hand—a guitar that embodied the craftsmanship, innovation, and attention to detail that would later become the foundation of the Suhr name. Its timeless silhouette, and unmistakable voice represent a chapter of John's history that has inspired players for decades. Originally introduced as a limited edition in 2021, the response made one thing clear: this guitar deserved a permanent place in the Suhr lineup.

Today, the Standard Legacy returns, available to order year-round. Every detail honors the spirit of John's original design while benefiting from
the precision, consistency, and playability that define every modern Suhr instrument. It is a guitar built on decades of experience—where classic inspiration meets uncompromising craftsmanship.

The Standard Legacy isn't simply a return to the past. It's a continuation of the legacy that helped shape who we are, now available to every player who wants to be part of that story.
