Ever had that sinking feeling when your pickups won't release back down, so you open the guitar up, and there's a brown squashed mess where some once pristine rubber tubing used to be?  Well, now's your chance to get some fresh natural rubber to put the tension back into the pickups on your Fender style guitar! Ideal for replacing old pickup rubber tubing or pickup height spacers that have become compressed, hardened, split or lost their springiness.

Quick Guide - 12 pieces normally enough for 2 guitars: (2 for each single coil pickup)

1 - Normal replacement → 8mm lengths

2 - Need extra height, compression or adjustment → 12mm lengths

3 - Old tubing badly squashed or unsure → Mixed Pack: 6 × 8mm + 6 × 12mm

Which length should I choose?

8mm – Standard replacement

8mm is a good general-purpose size for many standard Stratocaster, Telecaster and Fender-style pickup mounting applications.

Choose 8mm if you are replacing normal pickup height adjustment tubing and the original pieces have not been excessively compressed.

12mm – Extra length and adjustment

12mm tubing provides additional compression and pickup height adjustment.

It can be useful where the pickup sits deeper in the guitar body, longer pickup mounting screws are fitted, or you need more tension to hold the pickup firmly at the desired height.

The natural rubber compresses as the pickup is adjusted and the tubing can also be trimmed if required.

Not sure which size you need?

Old pickup mounting rubber tubing can become permanently flattened after years under compression.

If your existing tubing is severely squashed, distorted or compressed, measuring it may not tell you its original length.

In that situation, choose the Mixed 8mm & 12mm Pack.

It contains:

6 × 8mm pieces
6 × 12mm pieces

You can then try both lengths and use whichever gives the best pickup height, tension and adjustment range.

Pickup Screw Compatibility

The 3mm internal bore is suitable for both M3 and #6-32 Fender-style pickup mounting hardware.  #6-32 screws are commonly used on many USA Fender Stratocaster and Telecaster pickup installations, while M3 screws are commonly found on metric and imported guitar hardware.

The flexible natural rubber stretches around the screw thread, so a snug fit is normal and helps keep the tubing securely in position.
