Full, powerful character and rich resonance of the shells are achieved through carefully selected maple plies, along with meticulous attention to shell formation and edge shape. Edges The 45-degree edge cut ensures optimal contact with the drumhead. Every edge on Polmuz drums has been sanded and additionally waxed, guaranteeing ideal head-to-shell contact. This results in clear tone across the full frequency range. Sharp bearing edges on toms deliver quick attack and short sustain, while rounded edges on bass drums generate unique, warm vintage tone. Finish The matte finish of Polmuz drums gives each set a distinctive appearance and unconventional sound. The lacquer used for finishing Maple Polmuz drums is of the highest quality. Tube Lug Tube Lug lugs are characteristic of all Polmuz drums. The unique Tube Lug design makes them look like traditional mounts, but the lug body "floats" above the shell to minimize contact with the drum. This allows the entire shell to resonate across the full sound spectrum. To minimize the risk of drums falling out of tune, each features a long screw deeply seated in the lug. Additionally, each lug has double protection in the form of washers—metal and nylon—that guarantee tuning stability. Chrome hardware In Polmuz drums, all hardware is finished with a chrome plating. Bass drum spurs The spurs on Polmuz sets are equipped with rubber pads that help protect wooden hoops from damage. In this arrangement, spurs and hoops form one cohesive unit, so they don't separate or rattle, even with loose tuning. Drumheads Transparent, single-ply high-quality batter heads are used on the drums. Bass drum heads additionally feature a wide muffling collar. The resonant heads are distinguished by a characteristic vintage-style head with a distinctive Polmuz logo.
