A genuine turning point in Fender's American lineup — the original American Deluxe Series was built to answer decades of players modding their Strats for quieter pickups and better tuning stability, and this is one of the first-year examples. An alder body in classic 3-Color Sunburst pairs with a maple neck carved in the Modern C profile, topped with a rosewood board and abalone dot inlays for a more upscale look than a standard Strat. Three Vintage Noiseless pickups deliver true vintage Strat tone and quack with none of the 60-cycle hum, switched via the standard 5-position blade. Fender/Schaller deluxe locking tuners keep it rock solid in tune, and the 2-point synchronized tremolo with pop-in arm gives smooth, stable vibrato. Comes in its original hardshell case.
