Ibanez BTB605 5-String Bass — Transparent Gray, B-Stock

The BTB605 is a neck-through five-string platform engineered for balanced articulation and ergonomic consistency across extended range playing. Built with luthier-grade construction and professional-level active electronics, this bass delivers the tonal clarity and tuning stability required for demanding session and touring work. This B-stock unit carries the same specifications as new inventory at a reduced price point.

Tone and Electronics

Two Ibanez α1 humbucking pickups feed into Ibanez Custom Electronics with individual pickup volume controls, master tone, and a 3-band active EQ featuring a 3-way mid frequency switch (250Hz, 450Hz, 700Hz). The MR5 bridge with 19mm string spacing ensures clean separation and consistent response across all five strings, enabling surgical tonal shaping from attack to character without coloration.

Construction and Playability

A 5-piece Maple/Jatoba neck-through body with Okoume wings and transparent gray finish creates a rigid, stable platform for tone transfer and tuning retention. The neck is precisely profiled at 47mm at the nut and 76mm at the 24th fret with a 400mm radius, while the 35-inch scale length and graduated neck dimensions provide comfortable reach without sacrificing articulation or sustain on extended range passages.
